VMI: Calling all sustainably minded filmmakers
2023 was a difficult year for our industry, to get 2024 started on the right note, VMI and Sustainable Film are working together to offer 2 productions the opportunity to win camera and grip equipment for free!
VMI is prepared to donate a suitable production package for a film with a suitable sustainability message / female lead crew.
We want to support 2 x Projects
|
1. The 'She's Got This' Project The project must have majority females in key HOD positions |
2. The 'Sustainability On-Screen' Project This project must feature sustainability themes in its on-screen content |
Project winners will receive:
- Up to 4 weeks rental of Camera and Grip Equipment from stock as per the requirements below
- Production Carbon Footprint (Via Albert or GPG)
- Production Sustainability Advice
- Projects must be able to complete their 4 weeks of filming between the end of January and 31 March 2024.
The camera hire must be completed by latest 31 March 2024 and will be offered subject to change to ensure that it can be made available from our wide product range.

The Guild of Television Camera Professionals (GTC) is an independent craft association predominantly for professional TV, digital and film camera crew designed to support our members by facilitating excellence, education, knowledge and networking in moving image production. The GTC welcomes media professionals internationally across all moving image disciplines as members.
The International Association of Wildlife Film-makers, whose members are professional camera crew earning most of their income from making wildlife films, has been affiliated to the GTC since January 2016.
