BW Productions choose SymplyPRO LTO

Specialist photography and video production company BW Productions, based in Salt Lake City, faced challenges in data management when solely relying on hard disk drive storage systems, but then discovered LTO (Linear Tape Open) technology. Creative Director, Greg Johnson, has been using LTO for around 10-years and now BW Productions are using a dual drive SymplyPRO LTO-9 system from GTC Sponsor, Symply to keep pace with churning through the 4 to 10 TB of data a day that they are handling.

Undertaking around 350 projects a year, including a contract to backup the dailies on a project for a major streaming platform, any single piece of equipment going down in their workflow leaves a large ripple effect throughout their entire organisation.
