GTC Patron Vinten, a Videndum brand, has announced the launch of the Versine™ 240, a professional fluid head designed for roaming camera positions in live and field production. Extending the Versine range, the new Versine 240 delivers the smooth control, precision, and reliability operators expect from Vinten in a compact form factor, ideal for mobile outside broadcast crews, live events, and ENG positions.
Developed with direct input from camera operators, the Versine 240 supports payloads up to 25 kg, making it perfect for large monocular-style setups with heavy 40x zoom lenses and RF equipment. Its compact magnesium alloy chassis makes it easy to transport between positions, and TF30 Drag technology delivers the exceptional stability required for long-lens operation.
Steve Turner, Head of Product – Camera Supports at Vinten says:
Camera Operators told us they loved the performance of the Versine 360 but also needed that same capability in a smaller head for mobile positions. The Versine 240 delivers exactly that. No compromise on balance, control or durability, just in a form factor optimised for agile deployment.
The Versine 240 features Vinten’s Perfect Balance™ technology, maintaining smooth, precise framing at any tilt angle, and TF30 Drag for consistent control across all speeds and focal lengths, from slow pans at the long end of a zoom lens to fast whip pans. All controls are positioned on the left side for quick, instinctive adjustments when shooting with a monocular viewfinder.
Designed for speed and simplicity, the Versine 240 incorporates low effort illuminated dials for balance and drag, a secure platform release lever, and a hoist/tether point for overhead or gantry mounting. All-metal construction and broadcast-grade components ensure dependable performance in the most demanding live production environments.
The Versine 240 is available as a standalone head, or as part of a complete system with flowtech100, ENG or EFP tripods, or the Osprey Lite Pedestal.
The Versine 240 will begin shipping from November 2025.
