The new launches include Create kits for first-time filmmakers and LeftField kits for high-end productions.
GTC Patron Bright Tangerine (UK) has launched new camera cages and kits for the latest releases from Canon and Sony. The new kits are designed to offer more accessible rigging options for filmmakers in different shooting scenarios.
The new ranges are available to pre-order now on the Bright Tangerine website and affiliated retailers, with shipping expected in July.
Canon C400
Bright Tangerine has expanded their suite of Canon C400 accessories and kits with new options. The new Create C400 kits use Bright Tangerine’s new Universal Dovetail: which features a unique design for simultaneous DJI RS and Manfrotto 501PL compatibility. This allows users to seamlessly transition their rig from Manfrotto mounts (such as the new Create Baseplate) to DJI gimbals.
Additionally, as well as new LeftField kits, Bright Tangerine are also offering a standalone Monitor Mount kit. This converts the stock Canon LCD viewfinder into a fully articulating monitor, for expanded positioning freedom.
Canon C80
The new Canon C80 LeftField kits are among the first to use Bright Tangerine’s new LeftField Mini, which offers the full functionality of Bright Tangerine’s bestselling baseplate in a more compact model. The LeftField Mini uses the same Open•UP quick-release system as the full-size LeftField 3, which allows users to lift their entire camera setup off ARRI dovetails effortlessly.
Further, for users upgrading from the Canon C70 to the newer C80, Bright Tangerine are also offering a standalone Upgrade Kit, which allows users to use their existing LeftField C70 setup with the new C80.
For those looking for more minimal rigs with the key essentials, then the dedicated Create kits for the C80 are the option to choose. These kits also include the Universal Dovetail for Manfrotto and DJI RS 4.
Sony VENICE Extension Mini
Bright Tangerine first announced their dedicated camera cage for the Sony VENICE Extension System Mini when the camera was first revealed earlier in 2025. Utilising the LeftField Mini Baseplate, the three kits add extra rigging functionality to the VENICE Extension Mini whilst maintaining the camera’s small footprint.
