NANLUX launches Matrix 2500B and Matrix 2500C

The Matrix 2500B and Matrix 2500C launched by GTC Patron Nanlux, are four-head integrated fixtures with 2500W output and IP66 weatherproof rating. They are specifically designed for multi-unit lighting arrays, delivering high illuminance and optimized light quality for more accurate sunlight simulation. With the all-in-one design and ability to synchronize multiple fixtures, they enable efficient workflows.

Tighter spacing between multiple Matrix fixtures in an array improves light spread continuity and increases light density. An innovative front-to-rear airflow cooling system ensures prolonged operation, while multiple control methods provide compatibility across a wide range of scenarios.

Both the Matrix 2500B and Matrix 2500C adopt an easy-to-handle form factor and measure just 40 × 40 × 23.5 cm (15.75 × 15.75 × 9.25 in). Combined with an efficient optical design, they deliver excellent light quality and high illuminance—Matrix 2500B outputs 103,000 lux and the Matrix 2500C outputs 67,900 lux (at 3 m, 5600K, with FL-MT25 Motorized Fresnel Lens at 16°), making them ideal for bounce lighting, accent lighting, and even background illumination. When configured in an array, they produce an even beam, while their high output and dense fixture arrangement deliver exceptional punch.

The Matrix 2500B is equipped with the advanced NANLUX Nebula B4 Light Engine, offering a colour temperature range of 2,700K–6,500K with ±80 green/magenta shift control. This light engine combines four different types of white LEDs, enabling green/magenta adjustment while retaining the high efficacy of white LEDs.

The Matrix 2500C is a full-colour fixture equipped with the Nebula C8 Color Light Engine, offering an ultra-wide colour temperature range of 1,000K–20,000K with ±200 green/magenta adjustment across the full range. This eight-colour light engine enables better skin tone reproduction, a broader colour gamut, and enhanced colour saturation through its advanced colour-mixing algorithm.

The Matrix 2500B has CCT and Effect modes, while Matrix 2500C has CCT, HSI, HSIW, RGBW, XY Coordinates, Gel, and Effect modes. Both fixtures provide excellent colour rendering with average CRI and TLCI of 98. With 0.1% dimming control, they deliver fully linear dimming performance, ensuring smooth and precise transitions from 0.0% to full output.

With an all-in-one design integrating the control unit and power adapter, only a power cable is needed to make the fixture ready to use. With the optional NANLUX dedicated four-light frame, users can put four Matrix fixtures together to easily rig a 10,000W lighting array. The included 4-way power distribution cable powers all four fixtures within the array simultaneously, while the EXT port cable enables synchronized control via a single control signal, simplifying cabling and setup.

When configured as an array, the spacing between lamps in adjoining fixtures closely matches the internal spacing of the lamps within each fixture, creating a compact layout and producing an even beam. Multiple arrays can be mounted on truss systems and combined into a larger modular lighting matrix.

Built with a one-piece magnesium alloy housing and are rated IP66, the fixture combines strength with lightweight design, performing reliably in harsh environments for extended outdoor use.

The fixture uses an innovative front-to-rear airflow system designed to address heat accumulation issues commonly found in other high-density array setups. They ensure stable performance under continuous high-load operation by effectively reducing heat build-up due to stacking. The cooling system offers four fan modes, which users can switch between depending on the required output and noise control requirements. In Smart mode, fan speed automatically adapts to ambient temperature, reducing interference with audio recording.

The control interface of the Matrix 2500B and Matrix 2500C comprises of a panel with intuitive operation via three knobs and four buttons. Both fixtures also support remote controller, wired controller, NANLINK App 2.0, DMX/RDM, LumenRadio CRMX and ArtNet/sACN control. The NFC function enables batch configuration of DMX parameters across multiple fixtures, speeding up pairing efficiency.

With a DMX control system, each lamp head can be individually controlled for precise adjustment across different areas of large lighting arrays. In virtual production, the lighting responds in real time to on-screen changes, enabling dynamic control of the ambient light.

The Matrix 2500B and Matrix 2500C adopt a new accessory interface that supports rapid and robust attachment of modifiers. The electronic contacts on the mount can recognize attached accessories, enabling the operation of dedicated motorized modifiers and automatic colour shift correction. With these enhancements, the Matrix fixtures deliver a more intelligent lightshaping experience.

The included FL-MT25 Motorized Fresnel Lens solves tricky manual adjustment issues when lighting arrays are rigged at height. It offers a 16°–48° zoom range, with beam angles remotely adjusted simultaneously across all four lenses. This Fresnel lens is also IP66-rated for use in challenging environments. The optional Dual-Head Yoke and Four-Light Frame enable easy two- and four-fixture configurations.
