Bruce Miller
The GTC Dick Hibberd trophy which is awarded to an individual who, in the opinion of the GTC Council, has furthered the cause of the GTC by fostering and improving the art and craft of television camera professionals over many years.
Bruce began his career in television in 1974 before moving into outside broadcast in 1979, building an exceptional reputation over decades with the BBC and SIS Live.
A highly respected camera supervisor, he has led complex multi-camera operations on some of the UK’s most prestigious events, including Wimbedon, the Six Nations, the London Marathon, Royal occasions and major international sports tournaments.
His expertise spans everything from studio pedestal work to specialist helicopter and remote head systems, alongside an extraordinary body of music, entertainment and live event broadcasting. This breadth of experience, professionalism and commitment to the craft is exactly why Bruce is a deserving receipient of the Dick Hibberd Award.
