GTC Patron FUJIFILM launches the FUJINON GF19-35mmT3.5 PZ OIS WR. This ultra-wide power zoom lens is purpose-built for the GFX ETERNA 55 and GFX100 II “larger than full-frame” camera systems, offering filmmakers an expansive new perspective, available from 23 July 2026.
The new GF19-35mmT3.5 PZ OIS WR combines exceptional cinema-grade operability with a robust, lightweight build. Inheriting the signature look, design, and handling of the acclaimed Premista series, the lens features internal motors for focus, zoom, and iris control. Its expansive image circle effortlessly covers the entire 55mm diagonal 4:3 sensor of the GFX ETERNA 55.
When paired with the existing GF32-90mmT3.5 PZ OIS WR, this lens forms a powerhouse duo for productions demanding both workflow efficiency and uncompromising image quality. Filmmakers can now seamlessly cover everything from ultra-wide-angle to standard ranges using identically sized lens barrels. Both lenses maintain a bright, constant T3.5 aperture throughout their zoom ranges, offering perfectly matched color, bokeh, and focus falloff characteristics for effortless intercutting.
Additional Information:
- A sophisticated optical construction (23 elements in 15 groups, including 4 ED and 3 aspherical elements) suppresses aberrations to deliver pristine high-resolution rendering and a constant T3.5 aperture.
- Leveraging a rear-focusing system and advanced manufacturing, the lens remains remarkably agile for large-format cinema glass, measuring just 22mm in length and weighing only 2.1kg.
- Features the exact same exterior dimensions as the GF32-90mmT3.5, allowing crews to swap lenses instantly without repositioning matte boxes or follow-focus rigs.
- Equipped with independent focus, zoom, and iris rings using standard 0.8M gears. The focus ring features a generous 200-degree rotation for critical focus pulling. Full electronic control is also supported directly from the camera body or the GFX ETERNA 55 dedicated top handle.
- Uses Nano GI coating technology to eliminate ghosting and flare from oblique light angles, maximising light transmission for clear, high-contrast imagery.
- An optimised internal configuration drastically suppresses focus breathing for stable framing, while a 13-blade aperture ensures smooth, circular bokeh even when stopped down.
- Upgraded motion-sensing accuracy delivers powerful image stabilisation while high-speed internal motors ensure instant, precise autofocus and ring responsiveness.
